What We Worship
Paul Vigna, author of 'The Almightier,' joins me in a livestream video on Friday to talk about a world where everything revolves around money
Tune in Friday at 11:45 a.m. ET as I speak with my former colleague from The Wall Street Journal, and fellow Substacker, Paul Vigna about his eye-opening book “The Almightier: How Money Became God, Greed Became Virtue, and Debt Became Sin.”

Religions are at odds with each other. Religious people don’t always agree with each other – even within their own sects. But everyone seems to worship at the alter of money and conspicuous consumerism. And everyone seems to commit the too-often deadly sin of debt.
At first blush, religion seems a bit of a departure for Vigna who has spent most of his career covering equity markets, economics and cryptocurrencies. Or maybe capitalism is more of a religion and less of a science than we think.
I’m looking forward to what Paul has to say now that his book has been circulating since July.
